Abstract

This study focuses on the effects of the World War on the colonies, particularly those that were present for some of the fighting, like Tunisia. Numerous facets of life were affected by the devastation. Schools might be listed as one of the organizations that incurred significant costs. Between the winter of 1942 and the spring of 1943, school life was nearly entirely disrupted by battles, bombs, and other forms of combat. Schools suffered from a variety of issues, including paralyzing school life, recruitment efforts that impacted numerous teachers, and infrastructural deterioration. Many schools that were close to military activities were directly bombarded, causing some of them to collapse completely or partially. In addition, other schools have turned into military barracks or shelters for the homeless, and have also become the subject of propaganda and counter-propaganda by the warring parties
