Publication Policies and Financial Guidelines

Journal Fees

The Journal of Social Sciences adopts an Open Access policy, providing readers and academic institutions worldwide with immediate, barrier-free access to view, download, print, and share all published articles free of charge. This policy enhances the global dissemination of scientific research and maximizes citation rates for authors. To sustain these high-quality services and maintain rigorous publishing standards, the journal operates under an Article Processing Charge (APC) model, regulated by the following guidelines:

General Financial Policy

Free Submission: The journal does not charge any fees for manuscript submission or uploading through the platform.

Flat Rate: There are no additional charges based on page count or color formatting (black & white / color).

Payment Obligation: The APC, set at €100, is strictly mandatory and due immediately upon the final acceptance of the manuscript, following its successful passage through the screening and peer-review stages.

Article Processing Charge (APC) Coverage

The fees collected are reinvested directly into managing the academic and technical operations of the manuscript, which include:

Peer Review & Editorial Services: Managing the double-blind peer review process (Double-Blind Peer Review) and coordinating manuscript copyediting.

Technical Hosting & Maintenance: Securing servers and maintaining the journal’s website to ensure uninterrupted online access to published content.

Digital Object Identifier (DOI): Assigning a permanent link and unique identifier to every research paper for streamlined indexing, citation, and tracking.

Complimentary Academic Documentation: Issuing official acceptance letters and accredited certificates of publication to support the professional credentials of researchers.

International Indexing: Incorporating published articles into prestigious global databases and indexing services, such as Google Scholar.

Plagiarism & Academic Integrity Screening: Subjecting the manuscript to plagiarism detection via the global Quetext software, and providing the author with a detailed similarity report.

Open Access Provision: Transforming the content into a fully open and complimentary digital format for the target scientific community.

Sustainable Digital Archiving: Ensuring long-term preservation of published articles through the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN) utilizing LOCKSS technology to guarantee data retrieval and continuous availability.

Academic Marketing: Promoting articles across multiple scholarly channels to increase visibility, engagement, and global research impact.

Waiver Policy & Financial Support

Driven by the journal's commitment to supporting knowledge and ensuring equal opportunities in scientific research, the following concessions are provided:

Full or Partial Waivers: Granted to researchers affiliated with low-income countries, as designated by the World Bank classifications.

Support for Independent Researchers: Authors who do not receive funding from their academic institutions or external grant providers may submit a formal request for an APC reduction.

Application Mechanism: Authors must submit a justified waiver request to the editorial board during the initial manuscript submission stage, and under no circumstances after final acceptance.
