Abstract

The Abha station, located in southwestern Saudi Arabia, is sometimes classified as having experienced a thermal increase and sometimes as having experienced a thermal decrease. In this study, we try to capture its thermal evolution over the period 1978-2017. The calculation of various statistical parameters and their graphical translation are the tools used to achieve these objectives. The year 1997 separates two contrasting periods: the first was characterised by a decrease in temperature, while the second was warmer. Both periods are characterised by so-called "weak" trends.
