Arabization and development, between the richness of Arabic and the constraints of the reality

This research attempts to deal with the question of Arabization, in its broad meaning, which is mainly related to development, a relationship that stretches between two poles: the richness of Arabic on one hand, and the constraints of the reality on the other hand. Our purpose within this paper is to show the importance of Arabization in achieving the sustainable development of the Arab nation, as well as proving that any sustainable development cannot be achieved without developing the Arabic language. The paper is divided into three main elements, The first one is Arabization and development, it is a whole reading of the term and theconcept, we try to highlight the difference between such terms used in the field of Arabization like: the Arabized term, the loanword and the generated term. The second element concerns with the movement of Arabization and the capacity of Arabic language, it explores the process of Arabization from the past until nowadays, as well as exploring the factors that enable Arabic to assimilate significant terms which are not familiar to Arabs in different fields. The third element entitled Arabization and the reality of development is an overview on the relationship between Arabization and the most important sectors of the reality of developmental, focusing on the education and the economy. We concluded that a sustainable development in the Arabic societies can be achieved only by the national language, which is Arabic, In condition that this language is developed and improved; focusing on arabization as a means of this development. One of the recommendations of this research is that in order that Arabization goes along with the sustainable development, efforts of responsible, linguistic assemblies and the media, must be combined
