This research talks about marriage and the right of residence in it for both spouses, and then it addresses within its folds a social and legal problem that concerns women in the event of their divorce or the death of their husbands, and among the most prominent of these problems is the loss of residence, whether it is physical or moral, and the researchers tried to reveal the faith and psychological dimensions in it as much as possible by highlighting the Qur’anic texts and the Prophetic hadiths that were specific to this important relationship in the life of the spouses, and they showed the importance of the two dimensions in standing on the legal rulings related to the right of residence during married life and after the loss of that relationship by the occurrence of one of the two things: death or divorce
