Security of the Mediterranean in light of the democratic movement in the South

Abstract

This study seeks to shed light on the political changes that the Arab region has experienced since the end of 2010 and its direct and indirect effects on the security situation in the Mediterranean basin as a strategic region that is of great interest to the regional and international powers and represents a link between Europe and the Arabs. By identifying the causes of these revolutions and their characteristics and international positions about them, and then reveal their implications on the security environment of the Mediterranean and the future of this one through what these transformations represent of opportunities and challenges
