Social networking sites as an unconventional space for the expression and political practice of Algerian youth

Abstract

The political changes that many Arab countries have undergone since 2011 have brought the youth back to the forefront of the events through renewed interest in national politics and the demand for their right to political participation, In the face of the failure of the political parties, and to contact young people to find alternatives and create new opportunities for political practice, without being excluded or pursued by the ruling regime, therefore, social networking sites were the appropriate alternative for them to express their political opinions and to search for mechanisms that guarantee them the exercise of their right to national political action
