Abstract

The role of university professor is very important in the development of higher education system and scientific research. Therefore, he should recognize the general system of work by dealing with prevailing laws, Knowledge of labor laws, allows the professor to work in good conditions that facilitates the performance of duties and obtaining their rights. This study attempted to reveal the percentage of the professor's knowledge at the Algerian university on the prevailing Rules and Regulations. A questionnaire prepared by the two researchers was distributed to a group of university professors in various Algerian universities, and the descriptive approach was used. The study concluded that: there is a differences between the university professor administrative and non-administrative, in the knowledge of thework laws and regulations, And the work with these laws. and The practice of the administrative tasks gives professor clear experience in how to deal with the law and methods of its application, unlike non-administrative professors
