"Climate Change and Cultural Adaptation: Ethnographic Essay of the Tanger-Tetouan-Al Hoceima Region, Kingdom of Morocco"

Abstract

This article highlights the effects of climate change in the northern region of the Kingdom of Morocco, focusing mainly on the cultural transformations experienced by this region and exploring models of cultural adaptation in the face of this environmental and climatic challenge by employing ethnographic approach and based on data collected through interviews and questionnaires with various local actors, including external government departments and a sample of the local population. We also seek, through data analysis, to understand how local communities in the study area interact with the new structures imposed by climate change by modifying, improving and developing their lifestyles
