Sociological knowledge and development challenge

Abstract

The aim of this article is to examine the relationship between sociological knowledge and the philosophy of development, in an attempt to identify ways to achieve this social challenge and to overcome the epistemological, political, cultural and methodological challenges which impede research in the field of sociology. In order to construct a theoretical framework that questions the process of development in its social and cultural contexts, this challenge requires a political framework, which foregrounds issues of society, and a suitable a political, social and cultural environment, which recognizes the importance of sociological knowledge and its impact on directing changes in society and overcoming its obstacles
