The study aimed to identify the level of perfectionism (normal/neurotic) in their relations to attempting suicide in Palestine. The study sample consisted of (155) survivors of suicide attempts. The descriptive correlation approach and two measurement tools were used: the perfectionism tool has two parts, normal perfectionism within four axes (high standards of others, organization, planning, desire of excellence) and neurotic perfectionism within four axes (attention to mistakes, the need for approval, family pressure, meditation) and the motives tool within seven axes (family, social, psychological, economic, ethic, political and virtual world). The results of the study showed that the reality of normal perfectionism among the study sample came to a low degree and there were differences in the independent variables: (gender, age, circle of friends, number of suicide attempts, and educational level). As for the level of neurotic perfectionism, it came to a medium degree, and there were differences according to the variable: (social status, age, circle of friends, and the number of suicide attempts). As for the motives for attempting suicide, it came to a medium degree, and there were differences according to the variable: (age, income level, and circle of friends). The results indicated that there is a relationship between normal and neuroticism perfectionism, and motives in a medium degree. The study recommended working on the family system within the Palestinian environment and opening specialized centers for the treatment of individuals who attempted suicide
