Arab immigrant culture between national identity and integration

Abstract

The world has witnessed a lot of migration patterns to different homelands, making the immigrant retain his original identity and find it difficult to cope with the country's immigrant culture. Here we mean the Arab immigrant who saturated Arab culture and in turn inherited it for his children. After tremendous developments in various fields of knowledge, science, technology and communication, many conflicts have arisen between groups, whether majority or minority, because of the difficulty of coexistence, resulting from the Arab migrant's internal struggle between preserving or breaking his national identity and integrating fully into the new culture of his Arab culture. Today, the Arab migrant faces difficult and complex challenges. These challenges are manifested in the Arab migrant in itself (unacceptable) and in the sensitivity of culture and laws (adherence to the legal procedures applicable to citizens) of the migrant country (for example, Europe), but we find many attempts to reconcile the preservation of national identity with integration. In our paper, we will address the difficulties faced by the Arab migrant in preserving his Arab identity and adapting to and integrating into the culture of the society in which he lives, as well as the challenges in integrating and adapting to the culture of the living society, from being patient and persistent in the acquisition of knowledge and the language of that society and thus becoming a hybrid citizen of both cultures in the right direction.
