This paper represents an anthropological attempt that interests in the social and cultural aspects of the shrine ( Zāwiya) of Sidi Omar bin Abd Al-jawād in Gafsa (Southern Tunisia), This field study examines the sociocultural specificities of this Sufi center, highlighting the most Prominent transformations that have been related to the behavior of this mystical site’s followers
