The role of rural women in the local development in Morocco: reality and perspectives; the Gharb area as a case study

This study aims at diagnosing the reality of the social conditions of rural women in the Gharb area and their contribution to achieving development and improving the local economy through the intergration of women in various economic sectors. The importance of this issue is reflected in our monitoring of the constraints that limit the work of rural woman and identify the appropriate factors to increase her contribution in the local development. This study, then, shows that rural woman constitutes a fundamental pillar in economic development thanks to her participation in most development works
