The reality of non-agricultural spatial mutations in the coastal space of the Gharb area of Morocco

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to highlight the mutations which are known by the coastal area of Gharb, particularly those related to non-agricultural activity, and to determine its impact on the population and the environment, taking into account some constraints that limit the development of non-agricultural activity of the coastal of Gharb, chiefly the economic nature because of its role in achieving development. The studied area has known a great spatial dynamic, which changed the geographical landscape, especially at the level of housing and road network, due to its abundant natural potentialities that helped to stabilize the population and increase investments
