Abstract

Some countries of the Islamic Levant had the descendence of a number of the companions of the Messenger of God (may God bless him and grant him peace) on their soil, while only a few of them had reached Morocco - the farthest Arab country from the homeland of the prophethood. Some historians mention that the governor, Aqba bin Nafeh al-Fihri, did not enter Morocco, accompanied by a number of companions, while others stated that among those who entered with the leader Musa bin Naseer al-Lakhmi in his campaign in which he crossed the sea to Andalusia in the year 93 AH / 712AD, a great companion known as the Mundhir African. From here we will discuss in this humble study the biography of this great companion in terms of his name, lineage, homeland and his companions to the Messenger of God Muhammad (may God bless him and grant him peace) and the honorable hadiths narrated from him, then he entered the land of Egypt and Africa, and then crossed him to Andalusia during the Islamic conquests that took place in The first AH / 7th century AD, of the Iberian Peninsula (present-day Spain and Portugal).
