Gerontology is a crossroads of different scientific methods; its mission is to teach science such as psychology, sociology, and biology to the path it should take in its approach to aging.And the developed countries early aware of the importance of the scientific approach to aging; we saw how many specialized scientific journals have proliferated, bearing the title of the word Gerontology, UNESCO has also devoted a topic in this area. This essay is a bet to open a window on older people from the perspectives of psychology and sociology within the framework of the gerontological approach within the limits of a general panoramic view on the situation of the elderly and how sociology and psychology have approached the issues of the elderly
