Abstract

Objective : To identify the level of test anxiety among students, to identify the level of mathematical proficiency among students, and to identify the effect of test anxiety on students ’mathematical aptitude Procedures: The two data collection tools were prepared by building two scales for students that included a number of paragraphs that included multiple axes that demonstrated a high level of honesty and consistency in the pilot sample, in addition to raising the level of accuracy in formulating and selecting paragraphs of both sections. Results: Proficiency in mathematics develops the student’s self-confidence and lack of anxiety while studying mathematics, the student’s ability to determine the course of his ideas. Recommendation: Recommendations are among the most important of which are directing specialists in mathematics education to enrich mathematical competence With theoretical and practical studies, and making proficiency a way to get rid of test anxiety in the classroom Generally and the test is particular. Attention to mathematical competence in preparing mathematics curricula for all stages
