The athletic body and its self and social implications

This study aims at approaching sports practice and its relationship to body image, by revealing the reasons behind the interesting practice of Syrian youth in recent years, and understanding its relationship to their body image, taking into account class affiliation, gender, age and the role they play in that. The study was conducted in four clubs in Lattakia city classified as first and second class. The distribution of geographical areas of the clubs was taken into account to control the variable of the social milieu, as we conducted 20 free interviews with a number of coaches and sports practitioners of different youth ages
