Abstract

This study evaluates the role of psychological empowerment, represented by its dimensions (meaning, competence, self-determination, and impact) in enhancing job engagement , represented by its dimensions (vigor, dedication, and absorption) among employees at Al-Furqan University in Mosul, Iraq. The study relied on the descriptive-analytical approach, and a questionnaire was used to collect data from all members of the target population. (48) respondents completed the questionnaire. The reliability and normality of the data were tested. Hypotheses were tested using regression analysis. The overall scores for the psychological empowerment scale and the job engagement scale were high . The regression analysis results showed that psychological empowerment and all its dimensions had a statistically significant positive impact on job engagement. The study offers a set of recommendations to enhance the levels of psychological empowerment and job engagement among employees at the university under study
