The city, a public space to produce power and social differentiation

Abstract

This paper deals with some aspects of City domination, as a space that interacts with economic and technical transformations. The City has moved from urban center to the center of gathering economic, technical, intellectual and cultural. And the City always renew their working methods in its relation with capitalist system, this makes the City a controllable space and owner of symbolic and material capital, which to contributes to spreading the values of liberalism and create the spatial and social inequalities
