Keywords:
social movements, political change, Art of PresenceAbstract
Social movements hint at the existence of symbolic conflicts inside the society, which aim at creating social and political changes through working on the line of cultural values since political change includes the institutional adoption of the new values spreading in society's culture. On this basis, the social movements incarnate the need to new social spaces between the government and civil society which help to foster social forms, communities and networks, engendering therefore new values and new authority relationships with the aim of establishing democratic change and also making pressure on authoritative nations in order to present real political reforms. This change in the politics of society is a form of active citizenship or what is called the art of being present and political rioting represented by these social movements which are itself tied to the outcomes of the information revolution in the era of an informed world
