The preventive role of social work to protect youth from extremism and delinquency

The research aims to shed light on the preventive role of the social service profession to protect youth from extremism. Through addressing the following axes (procedural identification of concepts such as "extremism - extremist youth - preventive social service" - the reasons leading to extremism - the negative effects of extremism on society and the youth category - the dimensions of the preventive role of social service to protect youth from extremism - the preventive activities necessary to achieve protection from extremism - Recommendations necessary to plan preventive programs and activities with youth to protect them from extremism), and the opinion of ten faculty members in the Department of Social Sciences at Qatar University was explored about the causes of extremism, the results were as follows according to the order of importance: (lack of proper understanding of Shih Al-Din - ignorance and superficiality) Thinking about dealing with life issues in general - unemployment and a pessimistic outlook for the future - social injustice and a sense of injustice - flagrant violations of human rights - lack of values of citizenship, especially belonging to society). The results also resulted in defining the preventive role of social service to protect young people from extremism. The Social Service - the religious axis - the legislative and legal axis - the political axis - the security axis - the educational axis J - the media axis), and the results finally determined the preventive activities necessary to achieve protection from extremism and terrorism, and the study presented a set of recommendations necessary to activate the preventive role of social service to protect young people from extremism and terrorism
