The issues of historicizing the Roman presence in Morocco: the outer wall of Volubilis as a case study

This research shed light on some of the problems to the history of the Roman presence in Mauretania Tingitana, through the model of the outer wall of Volubilis, was dated between 167 and 168 AD. and to test the extent of the scientific and methodological rigor of this history, through historical criticism, and comparative architectural study by comparing the outer wall of Volubilis with other walls considered Roman, and walls considered Moorish or Punic, to find out the elements of similarity and difference; Then study the dated inscription of the wall on the external and internal levels, whether related to the form or the text, and to identify the methodological errors that occurred in the processes of collecting, interpreting and restoring them
