Abstract

This study aimed to shed light on military technological development and its impact on international conflicts by exploring the status of military technology in the US-Chinese conflicts. The study focused on the features and indicators of American Chinese competition for ultra-smart technology and military recruitment to build a general perception of their impact on international conflicts. The study concluded that there had been a major and radical shift in the international conflict and that building technological capabilities and dominating them has become one of the leading causes of conflict between the United States and China and the main arena of confrontation. New spaces for international conflict have emerged with new tools that differ from traditional conflicts, accompanied by the spread of technology and the end of the era of the monopoly of power. Recent strategies have also emerged that align with the outputs of military technological development. As a result, the Chinese strategy was based on developing local technological capabilities, reducing reliance on Western technology, with a focus on artificial intelligence technology. In return, the American strategy relied strongly on restricting the initiative in front of emerging Chinese technologies. Therefore, these two countries resorted to the technological space in managing the conflict, which has several repercussions on the global international system. The study concluded that technological conflict is likely to flourish between them and their relationship to become more tense with the exclusion of confrontation in a reality that indicates the positioning of the relationship within the framework of mutual dependence. In consideration of the difficulty of resorting to conventional wars in the conflicts of these countries at present, these two countries resorted to the technological space in managing the conflict between them, which carries several repercussions on the global international system
