hestudysought to know the patterns of administrative behavior of school principals and their implications for job satisfaction for the teachers working with them. The study sample consisted of (250) male and female teachers. Two measurement tools were used, the first to define administrative patterns, and the second to determine the degree of job satisfaction. The study found that the prevailing administrative patterns amonghigh school principals in Bejaia governorate are the democratic and the autocratic style in very close proportions, followed by the free pattern. The level of job satisfaction among the teachers working with them was medium, and close to both sexes. There are also differences in the averages of job satisfaction of teachers due to the different administrative styles of managers and in favor of those with a democratic style. There wer ealso differences in job satisfaction attributable to the variable of the academic qualification and in favor of a group (higher than the Bachelor’sdegree). There were no differences in job satisfaction attributable to years of teaching experience among teachers
