The strategy of the Algerian state in preserving the nationalidentity (Arabic language as a model)

The Algerian state tried to preserve its sovereignty by fortifying the identity and making it stronger to face the external challenges. Since the independence, it tried to define its features with great precision and caution, because its violation is considered as a direct blow to national unity. Therefore, we have decided through this paper to take the language as a model of analysis and examination, because it is one of the prominent components of national identity, and it is now the topical issue and the subject of successive reforms in the Algerian school. We tried to follow and study its secrets anddifferent flaws, because the linguistic issue in Algeria today is floundering between the hammer of historical remnants, and the anvil of globalization and the social transformations, so the school becomes the arena of conflict to resolve that rivalry and contradictory views form and content. From here and through sociological analyzes based on critical theories and the method of descriptive analysis, we sought to understand the strategy adopted by the state, which made the Arabic language steadfast and expressing remarkably the national identity of the Algerian nation without rival, at least on the virtual level
