During the Tunisian revolution, the Internet, and in particular the Facebook social networking platform, was widely used by Tunisians to circumvent the censorship and propaganda that dominated in traditional media. the uses of the Internet and the extent of these uses have evolved In this article, after a brief review of the uses of the Internet before the revolution and its authoritarian management by the Tunisian regime, we will first put guard against a certain technical determinism to resituate the uses of the Internet in their social context, in order to understand the role that this communication technology could play during the Tunisian revolution. Internet, remember, is a tool and not an autonomous actor. Social minds proves to be an appropriate measurement tool
