Abstract

This article seeks to touch upon the impact of working women framework on marital roles and to see whether if it has led to a new division of household and parental roles. It seeks also to stand on the path of women’s negotiation with men about these roles. And in order to reveal this effect, the search and question about the practices and representations of working women, both in terms of their domestic and professional work and their impact on their various social relationships and experiences, and more specifically on social relations between the sexes. Therefore, the research was conducted on a sample of forty women framework. The presence of working framework women, through their paid jobs which provide them with economic independence as well as social respect, has contributed to the disintegration of models and mentalities that still consider domestic chores as a permanent task for women. This has enabled most of these women to negotiate with men about a new division of marital roles
