The purpose of this work is to evaluate the issue of the Moroccan Jewish woman from a historical perspective. Such an effort requires a study of certain fundamental areas of Jewish thoughts. The present work, therefore, begins with the cultural and social roles of Jewish woman who has repeatedly constructed her own female-oriented traditions, developing ways to enrich life of her community religiously and culturally despite of her historical exclusion from the communal spheres of religious rituals and Jewish learning. This is followed by a brief analysis of the position of woman in Jewish law (marriage and family). And then the beginning of her modernization when she became a teacher. Commons concerns among this work include recognition of the importance of the Moroccan Jewish woman who formed an integral part of its general history, and played a prominent role in the enlightenment of the Jewish community, especially in the end of the 19th century
