Agriculture and Local Development in Morocco, Ouezzane Province as a model

Abstract

The reality and prospects of local development in the province of Ouezzane are dependent on the quality of projects and programs that are adopted and implemented by the actors, as well as the extent of dealing of the local population with these programs; thus either positive participation in success or failure; hence the adoption of participatory systematic approach is necessary. The development prospects in the study area face a number of difficulties that prevent real local development, despite the different resources available to the region, which must be valued and exploited permanently, this can take the region out from its isolation and become integrated in its real setting in order to go along with its historical position, with keeping the distinctiveness of the region and its natural resources
