This research seeks to uncover the hoped-for role of national reconciliation councils in rehabilitating the system of social relations and ties in Libyan society, as the two researchers relied on the methodology of narrated anthropology, on the historical method, sociological observation, and in-depth interviews, in addition to the accumulation of knowledge about the Libyan society, and this research starts The fact that the national reconciliation councils contributed to bridging the division and division between members of the same community, and preserving the unity of the social fabric, as they had a role in resolving some societal disputes and conflicts, and their primary goal was to protect and confirm the unity of the social fabric, This research also aims to clarify the most important pillars on which the work of reconciliation councils depends in society, as well as to identify the most important obstacles and challenges that reconciliation councils face in the performance of their national goals, and to identify the most important ways to support the role of reconciliation councils in strengthening the unity of the social fabric. This research also tries to draw attention to The attention of Libyan state officials to the need for a real political will to support the initiatives of these councils. The research also concluded the need for strong and effective state institutions, and the search for radical solutions to the problem of arms proliferation and armed groups, and the need for legislation that calls for and promotes national reconciliation, and activates the role of mediators.
