Abstract

The aim of the study is to measure internal migration by calculating preference indicators for immigrants from one region to another in Algeria, and for that, four regions have been relied upon as the major units representing the regions of the country in terms of their urban and demographic size, and these areas are: Alger (North) and Oran (West), Ouargla (South), Constantine (East), based on data from the National Bureau of Statistics and during the period 2003-2008
