الملخص

The science of linguistics has witnessed tremendous development, and its schools have diversified (structuralism - functional - distribution ...). Researchers in linguistic, social and human studies agree that the strength of this science lies in its rigorous scientific approach represented in structuralism, and the idea of structure is an extended idea as it did not remain trapped in linguistics. Indeed, it went beyond it to become the focus of research in all fields of knowledge, as many of those working in the sciences of anthropology, sociology, psychology and literary criticism have applied the methodological foundations of structural analysis in their studies on various human phenomena, as foundations fit with the peculiarities of the human phenomenon. Through this paper, I will try to question the limits and prospects of investing structural analysis in an approach to the psychological phenomenon, and my research will focus on (Jacques Lacan) 1901-1981, who dealt with the self as a text and treated the text as a self, and he declared in the famous Rome speech that he invested From linguistic structuralism to his approach to rebellion against traditional psychology, and he was influenced by Saussure, Jacobson and Benvenist in particular, but to what extent did Lacan explore the depths of the psychological phenomenon? What were his conclusions? What are the critics directed at structuralism in general and psychological structuralism in particular?
