Abstract

This study aims to study the view of the social workers who work at schools in the Sultanate of Oman when it comes to their opinion of their university education, given that some previous studies indicate a weakness in their professional performance. This study followed the descriptive approach, and through the questionnaire of a random sample of 148 social workers of both sexes in various schools in the governorates of the Sultanate, this study highlights the importance of analysing the suitability of the study courses and field training for their university education. This is due to the dissatisfaction expressed by a large percentage of participants in this research which indicated a lack of necessary training to perform their professional roles. Due to the limitations of this study, the opinion of specialists in the selection and teaching of these courses was not included, which gives room for further studies to draw a more comprehensive picture of the evaluation of university education of social workers working in the school field in the Sultanate of Oman
