Abstract

The Dir of the Atlas of Beni Mellal, is classified in the real Dir (Pidmont) and the richest in water resources at the national level, in particular karst sources of the Atlas of Béni Mellal, which is the base of the stability of the population and the civilization of Dir since ancient historical periods, and contributing to one of the olive-based agricultural scenes and fruit trees (arboriculture), have been associated with these culture of water resources and the heritage of a rich and diversified water, which reflects the strength of the creativity of the Moroccan man has in the management of the resources available in his natural environment This study aims to highlight the water potential of Beni Mellal's Atlas Dir, and its management methods and its importance for human stability in the region. As well as to analyze its role in the creation of a development in the Dir and also determine the most important development stakes for the water and the human and natural landscapes associated with it
