Abstract

Educators agree that the teacher is the cornerstone of the educational process, and the most important element after the student, since no educational system can achieve its objectives without a competent teacher, the latter is no longer a carrier of science and knowledge, but rather, to build the personality of the learner in its different aspects, Therefore, he must change his practices, and keep pace with everything new. It is one of the tasks and responsibilities entrusted to him today to teach the correct values and behaviors of learners, the most important of which are environmental values, instilling culture and environmental awareness, and promotion of these behaviors to their practices, either through the knowledge experiences provided to them, or through the practices and actions carried out by To educate them about ways to preserve the environment, instill a healthy environmental creation, or to educate them on how to solve and overcome environmental problems. Based on this thesis, the following paper attempts to answer the following question: What is the role of the teacher in instilling the values of ecological citizenship among learners?
