Manifestations of the phenomenon of poverty in the province of Larache

Abstract

This article aims to focus on the manifestations the phenomenonof poverty in Larache provinceaccording toterritorial communities (Collectivités Territoriales)throughof measures and indicators of poverty, so to speak. And to try to analyze them and to link them to the factors behind its prevalence and propagation.This article also seeks to identify the spatial disparity of the distribution of the phenomenon of poverty according toterritorial communities, with an attempt to indicate its causes, in order to explore, in general, the social and economic disparities between the territorial communities of Larache province, and between the rural and urban areas.It concluded that the phenomenon of poverty in the of Larache province is a rural phenomenon par excellence; poverty by all its measures is more prevalent in rural areas than in urban areas.From a general perspective, it concluded that the Larache province suffers from social and economic disparities that feed spatial inequalities, as presented by poverty data.Although socio-economic-cultural conditions of the population have improved through a reduction in multidimensional poverty rates (between 2004 and 2014). However, differences in all their forms persist between groupsterritorial communities. Factors such as unequal access to education, health, and the necessary equipment for housing and living, and low and different household incomes, have contributed to these disparities
