"The role of the popular movement in breaking and liberating the media in Algeria" A field studies on a sample of Algerian media professionals

We tried, through this research paper to investigate the contribution of the popular movement in Algeria, to the liberation of the media of all kinds and break the obsession of fear and hesitation, considering that the marches that filled the homeland from east to west and from north to south across all states were echoed by public opinion. This forced the authority to concede and submit to most of the popular demands, as the president’s withdrawal from running for a fifth term and submitting his resignation on April 2nd, 2019 is the highest gains of the movement. The strength of the popular movement has provided media professionals with enthusiasm and courage to break restrictions, and to be free from pressures facing them, and to try to seize the opportunity to reorganize and reform the media sector. From this standpoint, we seek to highlight the role played by movement, which was launched on February 22nd? 2019, in the liberation of the media after the freedom of the press was just talk and slogans being said in the halls, and this is in an attempt to answer the central question that revolved around: Did the popular movement contribute to breaking restrictions and liberating the media in Algeria? By reviewing a field study that includes some media professionals who have been deliberated chosen, and this is based on the case study methodology and the use of interview and observation as two tools suitable for this type of studies
