The representations of the profession of teacher with teachers in Moroccan

This study is interested in the social representations of secondary school teachers, and more precisely deals with representations of the profession of teacher with college teachers and qualifier in Moroccan education sector. It is a part of the structural approach of social representations in social psychology. A sample of 60 teachers was examined: 28 college and 32 qualifying teachers. The results show that the nature of social representations among teachers, either college or qualifier, is positive. Thus, they share the same representations of the teaching profession which are articulated and organized around patience and responsibility. These are the central core of the social representations of teachers, and the elements «education», «sincerity», «respect», «humanity», «fatigue», etc. are their peripheral systems constituting in fact protectors of the central representations
