Abstract

The metropolis of Tlemcen at the end of the Ottoman era knew a brilliant and rooted scientific and intellectual movement with many prominent figures of thought and culture, of whom emerged scientists and entire scientific houses active in various mental and transport sciences, codified by a group of specialized writings, including what is known as: "Manuscripts of translations and flags". Of which a large part of it seems to have disappeared, and we have received little of it, to keep that period of time from the history of Algeria in general and Tlemcen in particular, immersed in the level of the scientific elite active in it, but he was not in any way able to lose Tlemcen’s luck from The pens of historians and scholars who conveyed to us its cultural news within the framework of the contributions of the colonial school in its first stage and its figures, similar to a model that lived in the 13AH/ 19AD century, and chronicled living and watching, and direct cultural participation as it appears to the course of the cultural situation in Tlemcen at the beginning of the aforementioned century, namely the scientist Abu Abdullah Muhammad ibn Ali ibn Muhammad ibn Abdullah ibn Musa ibn Muhammad Fatha Al-Zajai Al- Tilimçāni, the grandson (was alive in 1284AH/ 1867AD), the author of the manuscript "'iitmam al-watar" which deals with temporally and spatially, a group of men Science and notables of the city of Tlemcen, in addition to an important group of scientific houses of Tlemcen that were mentioned by the owner of the manuscript, referring to its historical origins and lineage and the most important scientific interactions inside and outside Tlemcen, such as "the house of Ibn Hatal Al-Tilimçāni" and "the house of Al-MdjawiAl-Tilimçāni" in Tlemcen, And "the house of Ibn al-Fakhar al- Tilimçāni ", and others
