The Effectiveness of Using problem solving strategy in Overcoming of Mathematics Difficulties in Fourth Year Primary Students.

The current study attempted to investigate the effectiveness of problem solving strategy in reducing the difficulties of learning mathematics in the primary school among pupils. The study sample consisted of (60) pupils from the fourth year primary level. The sample was divided equally into 2 groups: a control group composed of (30) boys and girls, and an experimental group consisted of (30) boys and girls. The study was limited to the first semester of the academic year (2015/2016) of the mathematics course for the fourth year primary level. After the statistical treatment of the hypotheses, the study resulted in the followings: There are differences between the average grades of the pilot groups and personnel officer on the achievement test and tribal post at math (mathematics) due to the way, the interaction between the Group and sex. Achieved employing highly effective problem solving strategy in reducing the difficulties in learning mathematics through improved results of pupils in the test post.
