Abstract

This research highlights the concept of chastity in the Qur'an in its general sense and applies these principles to examples of chastity discussed in the Qur'an, extending their relevance to social media platforms. The Qur'an is presented as the primary source for any research addressing various aspects of life. The study examines three examples of chastity from the Qur'an, involving both genders, demonstrating how these virtuous individuals handled trials and tribulations. These examples aim to serve as a moral message promoting chastity through exemplary behavior. The research emphasizes the necessity of referring to the Qur'an for addressing moral degradation and resolving human issues manifested on social media platforms, such as inappropriate images on Facebook or short videos on platforms like TikTok. Furthermore, the study proposes using social media as a tool to reflect Islamic values and contribute to building a more respectful and secure society. While social media was initially intended to provide a sense of security through shared knowledge and foster understanding and communication among people, it has increasingly become a source of threats, blackmail, and even the destruction of families
