Psychological and social study of identity within social networks- Model Facebook
Abstract
This field study investigates the issue of virtual identity within social networks, Facebook as a case study. 100 (male and female )students -have been taken as a sample- were asked to fill in 120 questionnaire containing 16 term related to the research hypotheses. The findings show that there is a mass migration towards social networks, making of Facebook a haven for large classes of society. the findings also show that there are psychological and social needs that drive people to use Facebook. Thus, many psycological and social problems appear mainly marriage via internet and its consequences , the issue of time and its fading away.In addition, other concerns such as identity , privacy and self esteem and the changes it has undergone. Moreover there is another serious problem which is addiction to Facebook which leads to neglecting family life and social realations as wall as neglecting communication and real life interactions
