Abstract

polygamy existed before the advent of Islam among several civilizations and religions. All that Islam has done is restricted it and make more organized and civilized. This study aims to identify the disadvantages and advantages of polygamy in Algerian society. This led to the following question: What are the social effects of polygamy in Algerian society?
