Marital distress in view of some variables A field study in the cities of El-oued and Ouargla

This study aimed at revealing the level of marital distress among married couples in view of the variables of sex and the duration of marriage. The study sample consisted of (130) pairs of El oued , and Ouargla cities, using the marital disturbance index of Nouibat (2013) The results showed that the percentage of those with reduced marital distress was (53.07%) compared to (46.92) for those with high marital distress. There were no statistically significant differences in the level of the marital distress according to the gender variable. There were statistically significant differences according to the variable length of marriage
