Abstract

The study dealt with the impact of the exchange rate rise on macroeconomic variables in sudan (1990-2022). This basic aim of the paper to shed light on the theoretical relationship between the exchange rate and macroeconomic variables. The importance of the study stemmed from the impact of the rise in the exchange rate on the macroeconomic variables in Sudan during the study period. And clarifying its negative effects on the performance of the national economy indicators in light of the decline and deterioration of the value of the local currency. The study followed the descriptive and analytical and statistical analysis of the data using a program (E. views). The study reached a number of results, the most important of which are: The study proved the significance of the function based on the above tests and the quality of model reconciliation, as the coefficient of determination reached 90%, which indicates that the model has a high explanatory capacity. The study also recommended a number of recommendations, the most important of which are: Work to increase the production capacity of the national economy by focusing on the agricultural sector and livestock to strengthen the export sector, in order to increase and support foreign exchange reserves to meet imports
