In this article, we tried to follow the research of the writer and thinker Muhammad Abed Al-Jabri for the concept of "Shura" in the Arab and Islamic heritage, so that we insisted on the student's assertion that this concept is not enough to describe any Islamic political system based on it only because it raises it and echo it, It is applied in modern democratic states, that is, when the concept of shura becomes a human value with its weight in the system of government. In the context of his presentation of the kind of shura that he hoped to see, we saw how al-Jabri strongly defended the return to the first foundations of our Arab and Islamic heritage (the Qur'an and the Prophet's Hadith) away from that stereotypical image of the "fundamentalists" , And that there were motives and reasons for making them do that, and those motives to satisfy the ruler or the current rejecting everything that is imported from the occident contemporary. In the article, we also touched on Jabri's criticisms for advocates of occident democracy as they were, but rather had to re-read our heritage in a rational way that imitates modernity but does not break with our traditions
