Variance between juvenil offenders personality traits and non ofenders

Abstract

The current research aims to identify some traits of personality that specify thirdy two juvenile offenders incarcerated in the specialized rehabilitation center of Birkahedm localised in Algiers and those who were arrested by the police juvenile squads, and to compare these traits with those of another group (non-delinquents) in order to check if there are differences between the two groups. The study was accomplished by using the Freiburg Inventory and statistical methods leading to the following results: -Juvenile offenders are more aggressive and nervous than non-offenders, -Juvenile delinquents are less sociable than non-delinquents, -The study confirms that there are differences in the classification of the traits of personality between the juvenile delinquents arrested for voluntary blows and injuries and drugs use and other offenders, -There is no difference in sociability trait and inhibition trait between sexual offenders and other delinquents, -Recidivist offenders are more aggressive than other juvenile delinquent
