The development crisis in the Islamic world - a reading in the thought of Malik binnabi -

Abstract

This theoretical study deals with the topic of development crisis in the Islamic world as envisaged by the Algerian intellectual "Malik Binnabi "in terms of determination and proposal of solutions. To this end ,we have used the analytical approach through reading and analyzing and interpreting his ideas about the topic of development crisis in the Islamic world. The most important result reached by this study is that: "Malik Binnabi " argues thatthe development crisis in the Islamic world is exacerbated by both external and internal factors ,in addition of other factors on the macro sociological level – social systems – and the micro sociological level – individuals- As such, the development requires investing in the human resources and giving more attention to the collective work ,and relying on a reference which takes into account the specificity of Islamic nations and their adherence to the Islam’s rules. Finally, we have suggested a set of recommendations like the necessity of identifying "Malik Binnabi" and giving more interest to his ideas by organizing scientific meetings in universities or other official organizations ,in additions to the need for a political will and real efforts in order to practice his ideas and benefiting from it really
